resort on the ocean, can we see it from our accommodation?

Yes. All chalets and most Motel units have a view of the Bay. Chaleur
Chalets owns the property to the "high water mark" so all guests may
enjoy the total resort including beaches, coves, reef and ocean
frontage.

I'm writing a play, (book, thesis, paper) - will I be bothered
with highway noise.
(A)
No, the property is more than 1 mile (1.6 km) from the main highway. The
property is located at the end of a private drive and has ocean on the
east and south sides and mountain on the west. Many folks come to
Chaleur Chalets from various universities around the world (Especially
New England) to write. The sounds of sea and surf.

Are there walking trails?
(A)
Yes, we have miles of trails along the sea
and on the mountain. Beautiful views and wonderful seaside benches are
located in favourite spots.

How do I get there?
(A)
Port Daniel is located on the south shore
of the Gaspe Peninsula on route 132. Air Canada flies into Bonaventure
and Gaspe Airports. The VIA Train stops at Port Daniel Station - within
the village..

Can we make our own meals?
(A)
Yes, each chalet has its own kitchen and the motel has a common kitchen
with ample room, fridge's, stoves, lockers, fireplace etc.

What about fire places?
(A)
Each chalet has its own fire place. Hotels have a common kitchen with a
fire place and all can enjoy the B.B.Q. fire pit.

Are there bears and other wild animals?
(A)
We have never encountered a bear. There are lots of deer, seals, whales,
rabbits, foxes, rare birds, and tons of sea life etc.
